Are you ready to challenge yourself and make a difference? CrossFit Angier is excited to announce our participation in the fifth annual Workout of the Day (WOD) for Inclusion fundraising campaign for Special Olympics North Carolina. This event is open to anyone interested in a 30-minute workout while supporting a great cause. The event runs from May 1st through July 31st, 2023, marking the 54th anniversary of Special Olympics1.
About the WOD for Inclusion
The WOD for Inclusion is an event designed to unite fitness enthusiasts in raising funds for Special Olympics North Carolina. The term “WOD” stands for “Workout of the Day,” a core concept in the CrossFit fitness methodology. The workout begins at “3-2-1-Go,” and participants should allot about 30 minutes. This includes 10 minutes for instruction and 20 minutes for the workout. Teams aiming for the Rx Version, the most challenging level, have a time cap of 12 minutes. Participants are welcome to modify all movements as needed to suit their abilities and comfort levels, making this event inclusive and accessible to individuals at any fitness level1.
Individuals can register as team members, and those who raise $35 by July 31st will not only contribute to a great cause but also receive a commemorative WOD for Inclusion hat. Gyms can also participate and compete against each other to raise the most money. Those that raise $1,500 or more will receive a WOD for Inclusion partner banner to display at their facility1.
